The Notre Dame Academy Tritons couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Hortonville on Tuesday, falling  77-36. Notre Dame Academy lost against Hortonville in their previous head to head  back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  68-49 score last time.
 Hortonville can attribute much of their success to  Riley Mueller, who  scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gavin Valeri, who  scored 13 points.
 Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hortonville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Notre Dame Academy will head out on the road to face off against West De Pere at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Hortonville, they will be playing at home against Appleton North at 7:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
