After a string of three wins, the Silver Creek Raptors's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were dealt a 61-18 loss at the hands of Holy Family. Silver Creek has struggled against Holy Family recently, as their contest on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Silver Creek struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Holy Family racked up 23 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holy Family to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julia Hodell, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Hodell is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Essynce Contreraz was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and five steals.
Silver Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Holy Family, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Silver Creek will take on Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northglenn is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against Greeley Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greeley Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Holy Family is ranked 14th).
