Basketball Recap: Sublette Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Sublette won the last time they faced Skyline and Joel Loya did his part to make sure it happened again. The Larks took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 71-35 victory over the Thunderbirds thanks in part to Loya, who shot 73% from the field en route to 19 points and six boards. The game was his third in a row with at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was Jonathan Froese, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 15 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Sublette and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 32.5 points. As for Skyline, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sublette will welcome South Gray at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Skyline, they will host Central Plains on Tuesday.
