The third road game was the charm for the St. Paul's Crusaders, as they earned their first road win of the season. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over Chapelgate Christian Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Paul's also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Chapelgate Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Justin Bishop, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bishop has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Sabbat, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
St. Paul's now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul's will take on the Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Indian Creek has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 30.
