Valley scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 78-59 bruising from the Deer Lakes Lancers. The Vikings were probably out for revenge after losing 81-62 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Deer Lakes, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will venture away from home to face off against Norwin at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Deer Lakes, they will head out to take on Plum at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
