After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cape Coral, the North Fort Myers Red Knights were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against East Lee County by a score of 59-51. This was payback for North Fort Myers, who suffered a 59-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading North Fort Myers to victory were Bryce Makar and Isaiah Newson. Makar scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds, while Newson scored 21 points along with 3 steals. Khalid Bourne was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got North Fort Myers back to even at 3-3. As for East Lee County, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
North Fort Myers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ida Baker at 7:30 p.m. Ida Baker comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for East Lee County, they will head out on the road to face off against Lehigh at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
