Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Draughn's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

It was a proper cat-fight when Draughn challenged Hibriten on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Draughn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

Bailey Mozeley paced Draughn's offense, picking up 15 kills. Mozeley got some help from Ashlyn Heavner and her 18 assists. Macy Auton and Braylen Clontz kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Draughn is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Hibriten, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Draughn is set to square off against their familiar foe West Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hibriten will take on rival R-S Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
