The Klein Forest Eagles suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Klein Cain by a score of 47-45. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Klein Forest of the 67-57 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Leading Klein Cain to victory were Koye Rondeno and John Clark. Rondeno scored 19 points along with two steals, while Clark dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Clark is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braden Fobbs, who scored four points along with three steals.
Klein Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Klein Cain, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Klein Forest will square off against Klein Collins at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Klein Cain, they will head out on the road to challenge Klein Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Klein Oak and Klein Cain are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
