The Rye Thunderbolts entered their tilt with the Rocky Ford Meloneers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Rye claimed a resounding 60-9 victory over Rocky Ford at home. Fans of Rye have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rye to victory, but perhaps none more so than Codah Graber, who scored 11 points. Isaiah Guzman was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Rye has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 3-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Rocky Ford, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rye will play host again and welcome La Junta, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully La Junta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday. As for Rocky Ford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crowley County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
