Beyer's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They never let the Johansen Vikings get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Destiny Pitts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Beyer got a massive performance out of Lilianna Urias, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave Urias a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Graham, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Beyer now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Johansen, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beyer will challenge Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Johansen, they will take on Turlock Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
