Baseball Recap: Inspiration Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Inspiration Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Max Prejda made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Harvey, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Mason Crane also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Inspiration Academy pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Inspiration Academy nor Central Pointe Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
