The Cumby Trojans will face off against the Fruitvale Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumby will be strutting in after a victory while Fruitvale will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Cumby turned things around against Martins Mill on Monday. They skirted past the Mustangs 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since April 15, 2024.

Martins Mill's batters probably weren't too happy with Bella Faulknor, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 12 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Faulknor.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ella Horne, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Summer Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Fruitvale suffered their closest loss since April 22, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Alba-Golden by a score of 5-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.
Kyla Bain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Madyson Bierl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ronnye Tull, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Fruitvale's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Cumby, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
