The James River HomeSchool Eagles will square off against the Grove Christian School Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, James River HomeSchool humbled Cristo Rey with a 54-19 victory.
Meanwhile, Grove Christian School really took it to Banner Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-15 victory at home. The victory was just what Grove Christian School needed coming off of a 58-20 loss in their prior match.
Grove Christian School found their leader in underclassman Emily Hopkins, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Sidney Fisher, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
The losses dropped James River HomeSchool to 1-1 and Cristo Rey to 0-3.
James River HomeSchool might still be hurting after the 42-21 defeat they got from Grove Christian School in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Can James River HomeSchool avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
