After two games on the road, GVCS Broadfording is heading back home. They will take on the Fort Hill Sentinels at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. GVCS Broadfording will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Sentinels are ranked 70th).
GVCS Broadfording struggled with assists on Monday (the Rams had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. GVCS Broadfording had to suffer through a rough 81-40 loss at the hands of the Rams. GVCS Broadfording has struggled against the Rams recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
GVCS Broadfording's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jordan Shifler, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Camari White was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Keyser scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, Fort Hill still came out on top. Fort Hill secured a 63-59 W over the Golden Tornado. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fort Hill.
GVCS Broadfording's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Fort Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
GVCS Broadfording was dealt a bruising 76-40 loss at the hands of the Sentinels in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for GVCS Broadfording, Mikey Allen (who scored 29 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
