Fans got a thrill when Micheal Alcaraz and Zac Tomisini connected against Pinewood. The connection was good for 51 yards, the longest such play in Mission Trail (8 Man) this season.
North Valley Baptist lost to El Sobrante Christian 52-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mena Otovo threw for 64 yards and ran for 117 yards in the loss.
Trinity Christian's dynamic duo of Alcaraz and Dre Perez proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Alcaraz threw for 236 yards and 5 touchdowns and Perez had 132 yards receiving. Matt Novak helped Trinity Christian's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 86 yards.
The Warriors' dynamic duo of Alcaraz and Perez proved tough for Pinewood to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Perez was the best wideout in the league this week as Trinity Christian defeated Matt Irvin's team.
Alcaraz put up the best numbers through the air as Frank Leonard's team defeated the Panthers.
Aidan Lucero was the best running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 140 yards as Pinewood beat Pinewood. Teammate Jack Sweat added to the ground attack by rushing for 50 yards.
Chris Brady made the biggest impact on defense this week as Alma Heights Christian topped East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy. The 5-foot-10 defensive lineman grabbed 1.5 sacks.
He went 13-19 with 0 interception.
Trinity Christian's Alcaraz and Perez have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mission Trail (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Alcaraz has thrown for 568 yards this season, while Perez, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 15 catches for 235 yards. James McDaniel from Woodside Priory leads the league in rushing with 384 yards.
The Warriors are in second place, while the Eagles are in third place.
