It was a proper cat-fight when Saegertown challenged Maplewood on Friday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp  19-6 win. Considering the Panthers have won three games by more than nine  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Levi Gardner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.

 In other batting news, Saegertown got a  massive  performance out of  Wyatt Burchill, who  fired off three  home runs, four  runs,  and four  RBI while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance,  Burchill is now averaging an impressive 2.2  runs per game.  Demarcus Manning was another key player,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Saegertown  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  contests.
Saegertown pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Maplewood, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 4-1.
