 Meanwhile, Carlsbad's game  on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Hobbs by a score of  1-0. Carlsbad haven't had much luck with Hobbs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
 Clovis'  win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-12-2. As for Carlsbad, their  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-10-3.
