The North Valley Baptist Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Mid-Peninsula Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, North Valley Baptist took a serious blow against More, falling 62-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Valley Baptist has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Mid-Peninsula's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 12th straight defeat. They took a hard 60-45 fall against El Primero. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mid-Peninsula in their matchups with El Primero: they've now lost five in a row.
North Valley Baptist has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Mid-Peninsula, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
North Valley Baptist didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mid-Peninsula when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Valley Baptist since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
