Lakeview is 0-7 against Many since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lakeview Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Many Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lakeview has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Many will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Friday, Lakeview came up short against Jonesboro-Hodge and fell 34-22.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kaleb Collins, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Collins is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Omarion Pierr, who rushed for 161 yards.
Meanwhile, Many put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-18 victory over Red River at home. With Many ahead 31-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Jeremiah James had a dynamite game for Many, rushing for 234 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. James was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Lakeview's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. As for Many, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Lakeview was dealt a bruising 56-0 loss at the hands of Many in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will Lakeview have more luck at home instead of on the road?
