Central Catholic waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Sotomayor WILDCATS. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-4 back in February.
Matthew McClenan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Luke Ramos was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Easton Walker also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Sotomayor will square off against Stevens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (59 vs. 380). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the WILDCATS 2.7, the Falcons 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
