Gage Friesen Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is High Plains's Gage Friesen, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Friesen rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made 20 total tackles, and defended four passes in addition to snagging an interception.
This season, Friesen has run in 17 touchdowns while averaging 153.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 27.14 rushing yards per game.

Lawrence-Nelson Comes Up Short Despite Huge Game from Underclassman Wyatt Frey
Underclassman Wyatt Frey came into Friday's contest looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. Nobody could stop he on Friday as he rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 63 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
On the year, Frey has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 103 passing yards per game.

Lukas Worster Delivers Best Performance of Season
Nebraska Lutheran came up short on Friday despite Lukas Worster delivering his best game to date. Worster picked up 217 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 64 yards.
Nebraska Lutheran's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Worster's next contest is against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.
