The Town East Christian Eagles will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the McCauley Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Town East Christian came up short against the Knights and fell 51-44.
Despite the defeat, Town East Christian got a solid performance out of Owen Cadena, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Windhorst, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Town East Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, McCauley Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Monday. They fell 50-40 to Vanguard Christian.
Town East Christian's record is now 3-7. As for McCauley Christian Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.
Town East Christian took a serious blow against the Warriors when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 66-39. Can Town East Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
