The Dripping Springs Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Lake Travis, falling 76-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dripping Springs has scored all season.
It was another big night for Adrian Mathis, who scored 19 points along with two steals for Lake Travis. Another player making a difference was Chas Biegel, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Dripping Springs dropped their record down to 15-15 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Lake Travis, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-4.
Dripping Springs will head out on the road to challenge the Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Valle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 577th, while the Tigers are ranked 201st). As for Lake Travis, they will be playing at home against the Maroons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Austin has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
