Basketball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Comes Up Short

Crimson Cliffs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain View Bruins.

Despite the loss, Crimson Cliffs still got an impressive performance from Coco Korella, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points and seven assists. Korella is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Alyssa Whittaker was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

It was another big night for Jaycee Carlson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards for Mountain View. With that strong performance, Carlson is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimberlee Brown, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Crimson Cliffs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Crimson Cliffs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-49 victory against Desert Hills on the 7th. As for Mountain View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-40 win against Uintah on the 7th.
