Volleyball Recap: Nixon Gets the Win

Nixon won the last time they faced Zapata and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 2-0.

Kamilah Ramos paced Nixon's offense, picking up seven kills. Ramos got some help from Mia Arevalo and her eight assists. Leeannette Moreno controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Nixon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Zapata, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Nixon has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cigarroa on the 30th. As for Zapata, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Freer at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th.
