In what's become a running theme this season, the Chapel Hill Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They really took it to Creekside for the full four quarters, racking up a 91-45 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Chapel Hill sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Despite the defeat, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: Cadence Burch scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Avery Gelsey, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Chapel Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Creekside, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Chapel Hill will head out on the road to face off against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banneker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Chapel Hill is ranked 25th). As for Creekside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midtown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midtown is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
