Kearns and the Warriors are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Kearns Cougars will be playing at home against the Taylorsville Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Even though Hunter scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Kearns still came out on top. Kearns took their contest against the Wolverines 64-57.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Taylorsville's strategy against the Wolverines on Tuesday. Taylorsville strolled past the Wolverines with points to spare, taking the game 68-50. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Taylorsville did.
Ella Wolfgramm was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jenna Sterzer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Kearns' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Taylorsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Kearns came up short against the Warriors in their previous meeting back in January, falling 56-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wolfgramm, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
