The Westwood Cardinals will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Hawthorne Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westwood will be strutting in after a win while Hawthorne will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Westwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakeland Regional, taking the game 47-38.
Meanwhile, Hawthorne unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. The contest between Hawthorne and Glen Rock wasn't particularly close, with Hawthorne falling 52-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hawthorne in their matchups with Glen Rock: they've now lost four in a row.
Westwood's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Hawthorne, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
