The biggest upset of the week belonged to Homer-Center, who took down 264th ranked Homer-Center, 20-6. Scott Thompson threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 33 yards in the win.
Thompson and Cameron Livingston provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Wildcats. The connection went for 66 yards, the longest such play in Heritage this season.
Danny Ferens provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Penns Manor defeated Marion Center. He completed nine passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 182 yards. Ferens' favorite target this week was Corey Brown, who caught three passes for 44 yards.
Ryan Torrance was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 194 yards as Ligonier Valley topped Homer-Center. Connor Maust also contributed to the rushing game with 130 yards on the ground.
Livingston was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bobcats defeated Greg Page's team. Livingston racked up two receptions for 76 yards. Bobby Thompson helped Blairsville's passing attack out by catching three balls for 61 yards.
Blairsville's Thompson and Thompson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Heritage in both passing and receiving yards. Thompson has thrown for 904 yards this season, while Thompson, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 14 catches for 311 yards. Ferens from the Comets leads the league in rushing with 894 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Penns Manor takes on Albert Dettorre's team. As it stands, Bill Packer's team is in second, while the Bobcats are in fifth.
The Comets' Ferens recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Stingers last week.
