Medford Tech walked away with a 69-58 victory over Camden Catholic on Sunday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tre Powell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with six assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nesta Rice, who scored 19 points along with four steals.
Medford Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Camden Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medford Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Holy Cross at 5:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Holy Cross will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Medford Tech is ranked 69th). As for Camden Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Camden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
