Mancos had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Fowler on the road to the tune of 52-0. Winning may never get old, but Mancos sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
It was another big night for Kail Wayman, who rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Chris Medina, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Sedgwick County faced West Grand in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sedgwick County took their match on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over West Grand. With Sedgwick County ahead 48-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Jaxon Carlson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 204 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 192 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Carlson's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Brady Mollendor was another key contributor, rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Mancos to 9-1 and Sedgwick County to 6-4.
