The Orme Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Tri City Prep Panthers on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Panthers 24-20. That's two games in a row now that Orme has lost by exactly four points.
Maddy Kyle and Nadya Laynor certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Kyle scored 14 points, while Laynor scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds. Kyle scored a full 70% of Orme's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lillian Welty was another key contributor, scoring 0 points along with 13 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Orme and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Tri City Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Telesis Prep the next time they take the court. Orme will head out to face Telesis Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Tri City Prep will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
