Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfield Central). They walked away with a 52-39 win over the Newberry Bulldogs on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Griffins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fairfield Central was led to victory by Zanariah Yarborough and Jazzlyn McMillan. Yarborough posted 18 points, while McMillan scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Layla McMillan, who had seven points.

Fairfield Central's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Newberry, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Fairfield Central has already played their next matchup, a 43-29 win against Eau Claire on the 14th. As for Newberry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-40 victory against Silver Bluff on the 14th.
