The Kinder Yellowjackets fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 32-21 win over Westlake on Friday. This was payback for Kinder, who suffered a 48-19 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Westlake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Anderson, who threw for 193 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Kevin Rideau Jr, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Kinder's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Westlake, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Kinder will head out on the road to face off against Lake Charles College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Lake Charles College Prep is ranked 144th, while Kinder is ranked 146th). As for Westlake, they will be playing at home against South Beauregard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
