Meanwhile, West Wendover made easy work of Lund on Saturday and carried off a 37-17 win.
West Wendover can attribute much of their success to Lesly Tovar , who scored 11 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Tovar has scored at least 25% of West Wendover's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Hernandez , who scored 3 points along with 3 steals.
Rowland Hall's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Wendover, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Rowland Hall was able to grind out a solid win over West Wendover when the teams last played back in December of 2021, winning 38-29. Will Rowland Hall repeat their success, or does West Wendover have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
