On Wednesday, San Diego Jewish Academy came up short against Army-Navy and fell 47-40. San Diego Jewish Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, San Diego Jewish Academy had strong showings from Ethan Abeles, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Jack Silberstein, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Abeles hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was David Feigenbaum, who scored seven points along with two blocks.
San Diego Jewish Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Army-Navy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Diego Jewish Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Escondido Adventist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Army-Navy, they will head out on the road to square off against Orange Glen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orange Glen is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
