Incarnate Word Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Abbi Koelling. The Red Knights came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cor Jesu Academy Chargers with plenty of help from Koelling, who had 12 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Incarnate Word Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 16-14.

Incarnate Word Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrey Schaeffer out in front who had 21 digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave Schaeffer a new career-high in assists (eight).
They weren't the only good servers: Incarnate Word Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive contests.
Cor Jesu Academy lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ginnie Normile, who had 33 digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.9 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Finney, who had 28 assists and seven digs.
Incarnate Word Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Cor Jesu Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
