Fredericktown hasn't had much luck against Ste. Genevieve recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Black Cats are taking a road trip to take on the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. Fredericktown is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Fredericktown's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Perryville by a score of 5-0.

The result came thanks to Ryan Souden's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Easton Wood was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Ste. Genevieve suffered their biggest loss since April 15, 2024 on Monday. They lost 8-2 to West County.
Ste. Genevieve saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Bennett, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Bennett's first of the season.
Fredericktown's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Ste. Genevieve, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Ste. Genevieve's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Fredericktown has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Ste. Genevieve, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Fredericktown keep running through batters, or will the Dragons buck the trend?
Fredericktown might still be hurting after the 15-8 loss they got from Ste. Genevieve when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Black Cats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
