 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brady Alves, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Nathaniel Zackery, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Churchill County,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 15-5.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Elko by a score of  12-2 later that day.
