Calvary Baptist Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Parkview Baptist 49-28. The result was nothing new for Calvary Baptist Academy, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
James Simon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 324 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Abram Wardell, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Newman has more to be thankful for after their contest against Episcopal on Friday. Newman took down Episcopal 31-15. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Newman.
Newman found their leader in underclassman Jake Randle, who rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Calvary Baptist Academy to 12-0 and Parkview Baptist to 10-3.
Calvary Baptist Academy couldn't quite finish off Newman in their previous matchup back in November of 2018 and fell 31-28. Can Calvary Baptist Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
