The Norborne Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Higbee 71-23. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Norborne in their matchups with Higbee: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Deitch, who scored six points along with six steals.
Norborne's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Higbee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Norborne will head out on the road to face off against Chilhowee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Chilhowee is ranked 506th, while Norborne is ranked 492nd). Higbee will be home for the holidays to greet Hale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
