The Banks Braves put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Warrenton 42-8 on the road. Given Banks' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Warrenton is ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashton Crossen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 54 yards and two touchdowns.
Banks' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. As for Warrenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Banks will be playing at home against Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Burns is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Warrenton, they will head out on the road to face off against Cascade Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Warrenton likes a good challenge.
