The Roy Royals will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the West Jordan Jaguars at 5:15 p.m. Hopefully Roy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
Last Friday, Roy came up short against Sky View and fell 42-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Roy in their matchups with Sky View: they've now lost seven in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jerzee Hart, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Bodily, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though East scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, West Jordan still came out on top. West Jordan enjoyed a cozy 71-56 win over East.
West Jordan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Giselle Muffet led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Rochcelle Afo Manuma was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.
Their wins bumped Roy to 1-2 and Sky View to 3-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Roy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31 rebounds per game. However, it's not like West Jordan struggles in that department as they've been even better at 45 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
