While Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a run and slipped past the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Braves' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Luke Metzler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jacob Jackson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The victory was the third in a row for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they will venture away from home to take on Fort Wayne South Side at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Archers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
