Kent County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 82-75 to Pocomoke. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (70), Kent County still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Kent Island was beaten by Decatur 90-63 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Kent Island can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Decatur is ranked 32nd).
Kent County has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Kent Island, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Kent County took a serious blow against Kent Island in their previous matchup back in January, falling 89-44. Can Kent County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
