Lafayette entered their tilt with Whitley County on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Colonels.

Among those leading the charge was Payton Watts, who had 17 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matchups. Xiomara Ramos also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Whitley County, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 27-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lafayette will challenge DuPont Manual at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitley County, they will face off against Bell County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
