Having just played yesterday, the Heard County Braves will get right back to it and host the Upson-Lee Knights at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Heard County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Upson-Lee in Georgia (Heard County is ranked 131st, while Upson-Lee is ranked 343rd).
After a string of six wins, Heard County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northgate. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Upson-Lee beat Westside 37-33 on Friday.
Heard County's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Upson-Lee, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Heard County was able to grind out a solid win over Upson-Lee when the teams last played back in November of 2016, winning 59-47. Does Heard County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Upson-Lee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
