Delta dropped down to 10-12 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 21-3 to the Canyon View Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-7 back in March.
Joslyn Christiansen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
As for Canyon View, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Canyon View's side, Maisy Brady was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Brady was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Canyon View got a massive performance out of Kambree Potter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Navy King was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Delta is set to square off against their familiar foe Juab at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Canyon View will challenge rival Providence Hall at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
