The Camden County Bruins''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Holmes on the road and fell 47-14. Camden County has struggled against Holmes recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Although Camden County took the loss, they still got scores from Zion Banks and Diego Carrion.
Divon Ward went supernova for Holmes, rushing for 230 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Ward is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Ky Basnight also helped out as he racked up 115 rushing yards.
Camden County has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Holmes, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Camden County will be playing at home against Manteo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manteo comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Holmes, they will head out on the road to face off against Hertford County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hertford County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
