Kauffman will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Summit Christian Academy Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on December 5th. Kauffman will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked fourth).
Last Thursday, Kauffman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-38 to Chrisman.
Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They managed a 54-50 victory over Logan-Rogersville.
Summit Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mike Thomas iii out in front who scored 15 points along with 7 blocks and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Thomas iii has scored at least 25% of Summit Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Jeffries, who scored 12 points.
The losses dropped Kauffman to 0-3 and Chrisman to 1-1.
Kauffman suffered a grim 63-39 defeat to Summit Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Kauffman, Noah Porter (who scored 12 points along with 6 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
